In the 2000’s parabiosis researchers surgically created conjoined siamese twins from paired young and old mice. For a long period they cohabitated stuck together, sharing blood volume, which coursed through their respective organs and tissues. This procedure rejuvenated the old mice into their younger versions, giving credence to the theory that aging is potentially reversible. Thus started [restarted?] the furtive search for a "fountain of youth" in the blood of youngsters, be it from men or mice.
